While there has historically been informal dialogue between Fire Chief Officers, never have we been as organized as we are today.  In June 2004 the first meeting was held between all of the Grayson County Fire Departments to discuss forming a county wide Fire Service association, and shortly thereafter the Grayson County Association of Fire Chiefs was formed.  The Grayson County Association of Fire Chiefs is a dynamic organization of highly trained and dedicated professionals committed to the delivery of quality services. The goals of the organization are to provide a proactive approach to training, planning, and public education, provide a forum to discuss ways and means for the betterment of the fire services and reducing unnecessary loss of life and property; the exchange of ideas, to develop a bond of friendship and understanding among the members of the fire service. Also to promote the development of the fire service through a progressive program of education, public relations and legislation, and of course funding to carry out those responsibilities.

I hope you can see and appreciate the many potential benefits this collaboration brings.  However, like most things in life that are worthwhile, there are costs involved.  That is why it is necessary to solicit help from those within the communities we serve.  Your contribution will help us to continue to improve fire and EMS services within Grayson County, work together to bring efficiencies as a group, pool our resources to reduce costs, improve the quality of training, and much, much more.

Sponsorship levels are as follows:

Associate Member        $100.00        Silver Associate               $150.00

Gold Associate             $200.00        Life Time Member         $1,000.00

Of course, any contribution is appreciated.  On behalf of all of the Fire Chief Officers and Fire Fighters in Grayson County, thank you for your consideration.

Thank You

President of GCAFC
